Who we are
Luxury Automotive Locksmith LTD is a mobile automotive and motorcycle locksmith based in Vancouver, British Columbia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and by phone, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We follow British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada’s PIPEDA.
What we collect
When you use our request form, we collect the details you type in: your name, phone number, email address, vehicle year, make and model, the service you need, and your message or location details. If you attach photos or files, we receive those too.
When you call us, we note your name, number, vehicle and location so we can quote the job and reach you.
When you hire us, we also confirm that you own or are authorized to access the vehicle or motorcycle before we cut or program a key. That can mean seeing identification and proof of ownership.
When you browse the site, our web server and hosting provider log technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.
Why we use it
We use your information to respond to your request, give you a price, carry out the work, and confirm ownership before keys are made. We also use it to keep basic job records, meet legal obligations, prevent fraud and keep the site secure. We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for third-party marketing.
Who we share it with
We share information only where it is needed: with the technicians who carry out your job, with the service providers that run this website and its email (such as our web host), and with authorities where the law requires it. We do not give your details to other companies to market to you.
Third-party content on this site
Some pages show content that is loaded from other companies, such as Google reviews and web fonts. Your browser connects to those providers directly when the content loads, and they may receive technical data such as your IP address. Their use of that data is covered by their own privacy policies. If we add analytics tools such as Google Analytics, they will use cookies to measure how the site is used, and we will keep this section up to date.
Cookies
The site uses only the cookies it needs to work, plus any set by the third-party content described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work as well if you do.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires, then delete or de-identify it. Form enquiries that do not lead to a job are not kept longer than needed to answer them.
How we protect it
We limit access to the people who need it and use reasonable safeguards, including a secure (HTTPS) connection on this site. No website or storage system is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive details such as full identification numbers through the request form. We will ask for ownership documents in person when needed.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent to our using it (subject to legal limits). To do any of these, call us on (236) 234-0355 or send a message through our contact page, and tell us what you would like. We will respond within the time the law allows. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (oipc.bc.ca).
